Eun-Gyu No has activities in three major areas: technology development, training, and service.

Technology development includes evaluating and implementing new technologies in order to provide access for the LPGT collaborators and clientele to cutting edge technology. I am investigating SNPs and other new marker technologies for genotyping and developing high throughput DNA extraction protocols for several crop species.

Training is my main approach for technology transfer. I provide informal training to users on how to operate common equipment and software, gives technical advice on a personalized basis, and conducts formal training through workshops and classroom lectures.

Service is provided through the LPGT on the fee-basis lab work. I maintain a state-of-the-art facility fully accessible to the community that includes an ABI 3100 Genetic Analyzer, a GMS417 Arrayer, two Li-Cor DNA Reader 4200's, a Biomek 2000 Robot and so on.
