1. DNA Sequencing

Provides automatic sequencing service, both LPGT tech
    and independent user-performed on two ABI 377 and
    ABI3100

Can sequence up to 16 samples in a single run, and 192     samples (two 96 well plates) in a batch run

2. DNA Fragment Analysis

Provides independent user-performed and user operated
   DNA fragment analysis service on an ABI 377 and two
   LI-COR instruments.

Provides LPGT-performed and operated DNA fragment     analysis, contract-based SSR, AFLP and SNP genotyping.

3. Marker Assisted Selection (through collaborations and other means)

Pilot studies on each marker to be used in MAS.

Assist in setting up high through-put screening.

4. DNA Marker Development (through collaborations and other means)

Participate in Marker Development.

5. Technology Development and Optimization: genome analysis area (through collaborations and other means)

Development of high-throughput cost effective DNA
   diagnostic assay for marker-assisted breeding programs.

Optimization of sequencing protocols and DNA fragment    analysis protocols.

6. Training

Provide training in instrumentation and techniques.

Organize workshops.
