Space Requests:
Space request forms and rental costs are available
from the Plant Growth Facility Manager (PGFM).
Complete space request form and return to PGFM as far in advance as
possible. Attach copy of approved IBC form for transgenic plants.
PGFM assigns space on a "first come
- first served" basis.
PGFM will order and keep in inventory
materials needed by the user or the
user may supply their own.
Entering Facility:
Principal Investigator (PI), advises PGFM of insect or rodent control
procedures and provides PGFM details concerning emergency containment
procedures of transgenic materials.
All personnel involved in transgenic research (including lab techs,
Post-docs, graduate students, and student workers) must read and understand
BLl/BL2-P practices and protocols before entering facility.
All incoming plants must be insect and disease free before entering facility and
will be subjected to inspection by PGFM personnel.
For transgenic users, PI notes date entered and the number of plants or
pots in a log book located on the greenhouse or growth room door.
It is also the user's responsibility to log additions or deletions
for the duration of the research.
