IPGB supports three common service facilities: the Plant Growth Facility, Laboratory for Genomic Technology (LGT), and Multi-Crop Transformation Facility (MTF) These service core facilities hosted by IPGB support not only the faculty research within IPGB, but also the entire College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Texas A&M Research community. These efforts and set-up places IPGB as a focal point on campus connecting with researchers in agriculture and life sciences.
Plant Growth Facility
Green house and plant sample preparation facility. The facility includes 28,000 Sq. Ft. plant growth space. The facility provides 24-hour services to research community.
Growth Chamber Facility. The facility includes 19 controlled growth chambers with 3 that are CO2 regulated, with 24-hour monitoring service for cutting edge research capability.
Laboratory for Genomic Technology
The only on-campus Sanger sequencing service provider. The facility provides same day service with internal prices to all laboratories in IPGB, Texas A&M AgriLife Research and COALs.
Multi-Crop Transformation Facility
Established in 2017, this facility was established to offer plant transformation services to all of the Texas A&M AgriLife Research community with collaboration opportunities with outside partners and clients.
